2 x 6 WALL CONSTRUCTION	Landon Homes is the first major DFW builder to use 2 x 6 exterior wall construction, instead of 2 x 4. With 50% thicker lumber, walls are stronger and can hold 57% more insulation. Insulation reduces unwanted heat loss or gain and can decrease the energy demands on your home.
THE ½” DOW STYROFOAM™ SHEATHING	Evening drafts won’t bother you. Your Landon home is polysealed and protected with ½” exterior Dow foam sheathing (R2) to seal against outside air infiltration. So, your heating and cooling systems work more efficiently, saving you money year-round.
OWENS CORNING R—19 WALL INSULATION	An R-19 insulation value, coupled with the 1/2” Dow foam sheathing + R2, your walls holds a total value of R21, instead of the typical R13. The “R” Value of a home refers to it’s thermal resistance. The higher the “R” value the less energy it takes to run, making your home more energy efficient and cost effective.
14 SEER AIR-CONDITIONING SYSTEMS	With matched furnaces that exceed Energy Star standards, we provide you with a more comfortable home and lower utility bills. SEER = Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio. Minimum requirement = 13 SEER.
